State Rep. Patrick Windhorst is offering residents safety tips to avoid heat related illnesses during the coming heat wave across Illinois.
A stretch of hot weather is expected across Illinois this week. Here are a few tips for staying safe in the heat:
- Limit outdoor activities
- Drink plenty of water
- Wear light clothing
- Wear sunscreen
- Work outdoors early or very late in the day
