SPRINGFIELD – As inflation rages throughout the State of Illinois and the United States, State Rep. Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) says although more must be done, he is proud to have supported legislation that offers tax cuts to middle class families in Illinois.
“It is indeed a rare opportunity to get the chance to vote on a tax cut bill while Democrats are in charge of the General Assembly, but tonight I am proud to have cast a yes vote to try to ease some of the pain being felt due to reckless tax and spend policies of the past,” Windhorst said. “I believe we can and must do more. The State of Illinois is in a position to make these tax cuts permanent thanks mostly to a massive infusion of cash sent to the State by the federal government. But, a tax cut is a tax cut, and the people of the State need relief.”
