METROPOLIS – State Representative Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) is reminding local professionals to renew their license with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation ahead of the September 30, 2024 deadline. Windhorst says many licenses will expire on that date, and urges local residents to be proactive.
“I am urging local professionals to get to work to renew their professional licenses through IDFPR as soon as possible,” Windhorst said. “Several professions will be impacted by the September 30 expiration date. Getting your paperwork situated and sent in to IDFPR will help secure your license and ensure you can keep working to support your family.”
Windhorst says several professionals, such as accountants, physical therapists, psychologists, and cosmetic and esthetician teachers, have licenses that will expire on September 30, 2024. Individuals can learn more about the process and get the paperwork that they need to renew their license by visiting the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation’s website at https://idfpr.illinois.gov/renewals/defaultssl.html.
“My office stands ready to assist with any questions or issues with professional licensing that 117th district residents may have,” Windhorst said. “My advice is to start sooner rather than later to ensure no interruptions in your professional license.”
