Springfield, IL – State Representative Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) began his second term as 117th district State Representative after taking the oath of office during the 104th General Assembly inaugural ceremonies in Springfield on Wednesday. Windhorst says he is grateful to the people of the 117th district for the opportunity to serve.
“I have been honored to serve the people of southern Illinois as State Representative. I take this privilege very seriously, and I am grateful to my constituents for the opportunity they have given me,” Windhorst said. “I am thankful also to my wife Holly and to my two children, who support me every step of the way. The State of Illinois faces many critical challenges, and I am ready to get to work to help solve problems and make life better for the people I represent.”
Windhorst first took office in 2019 as the 118th district State Representative. Windhorst’s district boundaries changed as a result of the 2022 redistricting process. Windhorst has served the citizens of all or parts of Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Saline, Williamson, and White Counties ever since. At the beginning of the previous General Assembly, Windhorst was named as House Republican Floor Leader by House Republican Leader Tony McCombie.
Windhorst will maintain two full-time district offices in Harrisburg and West Frankfort. Windhorst’s offices can be reached by phone at 618-294-8703. Windhorst’s official website is RepWindhorst.com and his email address is Windhorst@ILHouseGOP.org.
