METROPOLIS, IL – State Representative Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) joined Tom Miller on the WJPF Radio Morning Newswatch for a special Presidents’ Day interview on Monday.

Topics covered included the Governor’s upcoming State of the State/Budget Address, a lack of action by the Pritzker Administration in assisting the federal government with deporting illegal immigrant criminals, Windhorst’s recent petition drive opposing legislation that would legalize prostitution, Windhorst’s recent petition drive opposing sweeping new regulations on homeschooling, and the need to cut spending to reign in costs and avoid a tax increase to balance the FY 26 budget.
Windhorst is also sponsoring HB 1478, a bill aimed at protecting children from fentanyl exposure. The legislation would establish two new criminal offenses: fentanyl-related child endangerment and aggravated fentanyl-related child endangerment.
