Rep. Windhorst: International Registration Plan Deadline Extension Expires on April 18

METROPOLIS, IL – State Representative Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) is reminding farm and commercial truck drivers and businesses of a deadline extension provided by the Illinois Secretary of State for truck registration. Due to staffing issues, the Secretary of State’s office extended the registration deadline for farm and commercial trucks to April 18, 2025.

“I am grateful to the Secretary of State’s office for extending the registration deadline for these vehicles and for providing guidance to law enforcement in this matter,” Windhorst said. “There are lots of trucks on our roads that were impacted by delays in registration processing, and I am pleased that the outcome means our farmers and truck driving businesses will be protected as they work to get their vehicles registered.”
