MARION, IL – State Representative Patrick Windhorst joined Senator Dale Fowler and State Rep. Paul Jacobs in Marion on Friday to deliver Valentines to local senior citizens. The Valentines were collected through the lawmakers’ joint “Valentines for Seniors” drive. Rep. Windhorst thanked the public for their participation in the event.
“I want to say thank you to everyone who donated so many Valentines for this year’s Valentines for Seniors Drive. Thanks to the big heart and generosity of the good people of Southern Illinois, we were able to bring joy and love to local seniors,” Windhorst said. “I look forward to carrying on this tradition again next year. We truly enjoyed putting smiles on the faces of local seniors and we are thankful this year’s drive was such a success. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!”
In addition to Marion, Rep. Windhorst also delivered Valentines to seniors in Harrisburg, Vienna, and Metropolis.
