METROPOLIS, IL – State Representative Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) hosted a successful prescription drug takeback event on Saturday, April 25th, in coordination with the Massac County Drug Awareness Coalition and the Metropolis Police Department.
Rep. Windhorst thanked MCDAC and the Metropolis PD for joining with him to help the public dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs.
“Thank you to MCDAC and the Metropolis Police Department for their hard work in helping residents safely dispose of prescription drugs during National Drug Takeback Day,” Windhorst said. “This is an annual event that helps folks clean out their cabinets, keeps prescription drugs from falling into the wrong hands, and protects the water supply by keeping harmful chemicals from our landfills. Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s prescription drug takeback event.”
